As I was reading Chapter 5 I stumbled across a quote that I found interesting. On page 167 paragraph one, Karim talks about how Nadim Ali who is a member of the Imam Jamil Al-Amin’s mosque told him, ” We live in the West End because we chose to live there. I could have easily lived somewhere in the suburbs, but it is best to go to the depressed areas to bring Islam.” This saying made me think back to the website I was responsible for search. The Iman is the Inner-City Muslim Action Network. This organization is about being in the inner city helping people in need. I believe like Nadim Ali purposed that you move to the inner cities because you chose to. These people want to better these impoverished towns. I think the quote Nadim Ali said speaks volumes.
